That is the history of Vaise Williams and his work with JD Edwards software and third party technologies.
The global financial issues may decide that this is not the case - only time will tell. I expect 2009 to be the time for ERP9 upgrades for a number of my 'die hard' clients that I support. I have also provided pre and post sales consultancy to Business Partners in Australia. I have been doing this permanent part time role ever since, and take time off to service other clients in the UK and the USA as required. This is the largest web user for Enterprise One in Asia/Pacific. During normal processing, there are always over 700 users connected and processing. At monthend, it is not unusual to see over 900 concurrent users online. Thiess have many thousands of users from India, to Indonesia and all over Australia. This was performed and once live, Thiess asked me to provide additional onsite support in a permanent part time position. They asked me to stay on as a consultant until after the go live, due October 2007. I got a call in June 2007 as their technical project needed some assistance.

The upgrade from their JDE B733.4 to Enterprise One 8.12 was approved, and this was performed in early 2007. In 2007, I performed upgrade planning sessions and presentations for Thiess in Brisbane, Australia. Instead of 3 weeks on and 3 weeks off which I did until 2007, I was now doing just 3 trips a year.
As I specialise in upgrades, this meant I had to cut back on my UK trips. JD Edwards XE support was supposed to end and when Peoplesoft extended this support, the push to upgrade from XE was no longer on the table for many clients. This was a lifestyle choice as I no longer wished to work full time. In this time I got to work on the later versions of JDE (Enterprise One). I maintain my own lab where all versions are tested/upgraded on behalf of clients. I also had associations with specific partners for their technology work i.e Delloites, Coronel, Exiom Technolgoies etc. I still had a load of clients I was working with and so started direct contracting to them. In July 2001, my family an I moved back to Australia.
